Your Plovdiv Wine Tasting Private Tour

Our tour will begin at 9:00 AM from your hotel in Sofia, followed by a scenic two-hour drive to the historic Old Town of Plovdiv. Once there, we will spend two hours admiring the beautiful 19th-century Revival houses of the wealthiest people in Plovdiv, before heading to the Ancient Theater, which sits on one of the city’s highest hills. At the end of our walk, you will have the opportunity to taste some locally produced alcoholic drinks and rose oil products, offering a perfect introduction to Bulgarian traditional flavors. After exploring the Old Town, we will continue to a cozy Bulgarian restaurant on our way to the wine cellar, where you can optionally enjoy a delicious lunch. Finally, we will arrive at the “chateau” around 2:00 PM, where you will learn about the winery’s fascinating history before savoring a tasting of five different fantastic wines, concluding the day with wonderful memories as we head back to Sofia around 4:30 PM.

Itinerary for Plovdiv and Wine Tasting Private Tour

8:30 Our tour will start from your hotel/accommodation in Sofia at 9:00. In about 2 hours’ drive we will reach the Old town of Plovdiv. Here we will spend 2 hours admiring the wonderful Revival houses of the richest people in Plovdiv from 19th century before we proceed to the Ancient theater, located on one of the highest hills in the city. In the end of our walk you will have the chance to taste some locally produced alcoholic drinks and rose oil products. This option will fulfill your Bulgarian traditional cuisine experience.After we visit the old town we will continue our tour to a small typical Bulgarian restaurant on our way to the wine cell. You can have lunch there (optional). Around 14:00 we will arrive at the “chateau”. We will learn the amazing history of the winery and after that will proceed with tasting 5 different kinds fantastic wines.
16:30 We will start our journey back to Sofia with wonderful memories from the day
