As we paddle through stunning bays and around charming islands, we’ll immerse ourselves in nature’s beauty while enjoying a peaceful picnic lunch in a scenic spot. Later in the afternoon, we make our way back to Romantika Village, where cozy lodges accommodating four to six people offer a comfortable overnight stay in a tranquil setting. The next morning, we set off for Shiroka Polyana Lake, gliding along its picturesque shores and exploring its peaceful inlets before preparing for our return to Sofia. With stable and versatile kayaks ensuring both safety and speed, this experience is perfect for adventurers of all levels, making for an unforgettable journey through Bulgaria’s hidden natural wonders.

Your idinerary in Rhodopi Mountain Kayaking Tour

The trip to Rodhopi lakes takes around 3 hours. We will arrive at Golyam Beglik lake and we will start exploring the lake by kayak, including some wonderful bays and small islands. It is possible to take some picnic food with us and have lunch on a quiet place. In the afternoon some more paddling will bring us back to Romantika village right on the lake for a stay overnight. The lodges are for 4 to 6 persons and offer a nice comfort in the nature.

The next morning we are ready to move on to Shiroka Polyana lake for a nice paddling around the beautiful scenic shores with many sleeves and serene bays. We will prepare in the afternoon to go back to Sofia.

Paddling is suitable for many people and our kayaks can offer both safe and quick ride.

It was very organised with excellent communication beforehand and during, and smooth comfortable travelling in the vehicle. It was really interesting to visit all the different locations and learn a bit more about the history, even though some of it wasn’t always pleasant such as the visit to the concentration camp. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly and gave a good mix of background information while also letting us find out more and explore the sites themselves, as well as going out of his way to make aure we had places we could eat/exchange money/pay with card in Nis itself.
